Installation Instructions

You received the software installer either by download or by physical CD shipment.

• Downloaded installer: Double-click the downloaded file to launch the installer.
• CD: Insert the CD into the drive and the installer will launch automatically.

You will need your serial number (CD Key) to complete the installation. If you can't find your serial number, see How to Find Your Serial Number.

After installation completes, open the Windows Start menu and search for the application by name (e.g. "Quantum XL").

• For Quantum XL, SPC XL, and DOE Pro XL: Launch the application from the Start menu. It will open Excel and add a SigmaZone tab to the Excel ribbon automatically.
• For SimWare Pro: Search for "SimWare Pro" in the Start menu and launch it — it runs as a standalone application without Excel.

If the add-in doesn't appear in the Excel ribbon after installation:

• Launch the application first — Quantum XL, SPC XL, and DOE Pro XL must be started from the Windows Start Menu (or desktop shortcut) before their toolbar appears in Excel. The add-in does not load automatically unless you configure auto-start.
• Close and reopen Excel
• Verify you downloaded the correct version (32-bit or 64-bit) for your Office installation — see How to check your Office version
